3AM Saturday morning, leaning back in your chair you look at your new site. After days after hard work and sleepless nights, you’ve finally created your new e-book, site, landing page or whatever it is you’ve been working on. It’s at this point that the daunting question arrives. “Who wants to buy?”. I even hear myself say this out loud occasionally in a feeble attempt to begin promoting my freshly created site to anyone who may be listening (usually the neighbour).

It’s one of the hardest things to do; making your first sale. Where to start? You could start a PPC campaign, but is anyone searching for your product? Nope. You could do some SEO, but same problem. About the only thing you can do is mail your list, but what if you don’t have one? How the hell can you get your first sale?

Well, an easy way is to post on forums full of people looking to buy products like yours. You could answer Yahoo questions etc. But in this post I’m going to focus on attracting customers by posting on forums. In fact, I’m going to keep it simple and instead just provide you with a list of internet marketing forums which are great places to begin promoting your pages. Obviously, if your promoting for a different niche, you’re going to want to do some research and find for yourself some forums related to your niche, but forums are the best place to begin as you can advertise your product to thousands of potential buyers.

Below, I will provide a list of good internet marketing forums where you can promote/sell your product. Do not confuse what I am saying here though. Do NOT spam the forums. Useless posts containing affiliate links will just get you band and ruin your chances. What i recommend you do is put your links in your signature (if that’s allowed) and start posting constructive and useful posts around the forum. Not just one word answers as these will usually be considered as spam. If someone’s looking for a product like yours (happens more often than not, you’d be surprised), post a reply linking to your product and giving some background info about it. Pre-sell it to them before they even click your link.

BusinessForum.net - Rather new forum, but it does have some good traffic and a lot of great information for people looking to start a business online and off.
ClickBankSuccessForum.com - Really great community for people who sell ebooks via clickbank.
Code4Gold.com - Focus’s on E-currencies, Hyips, and webmaster related issues.

DiscussNames.com - Focused on Domain name Appraisals and buying and selling of of Domains for profit.
DnForum.com - The Grand Daddy of all Domain name related forums. They do have various paid membership upgrades. Learn to Invest in Domain names.
DnLodge.com - Focused on a variety of topics including domain names and site design.
DnsScoop.com - Large Domain name marketplace section as well as other webmaster related topics.
DomainForums.com - A quieter version of DNForum.com.

GPTForum.com - Sort of quiet, but it’s the second largest forum dedicated to “Get paid to” programs
